March 2010 as Chester County Agriculture Month
March has been selected as Chester County Agriculture month following the spirit of National Ag Week (March 14th- 20th) and National Ag Day (March 20th) sponsored by Agricultural Council of America to educate non-farmers on the importance of agriculture in our daily lives and because it is the start to the new agriculture season.
A March 2010 Calendar of Events has been developed to capture some of the agricultural activities that are open to the public, some events geared specifically towards farmers and organizational meetings for members only, taking place all month long.
Two of the events highlighted this month include Keep Farming First on March 6th and Ag Forum - A Look at Agriculture During the Dust Bowl on March 24th. Please see the events page for more information on those two events and more.
